Marco Fieber has studied Political Science, History of Eastern Europe and Caucasus Studies in Jena, Munich and Tbilisi. He was an intern at the Georgian news agency Civil Georgia, the German newspapers taz and Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Network for Reporting on Eastern Europe (n-ost) and the German public-service television broadcaster ZDF. From 2016 to 2018 he was a news/politics editor at HuffPost Germany. Since end of 2019 he is politics editor for the web portals WEB.DE and GMX. In addition, since over 10 years, he writes about his journeys in "the East" on www.ostblog.org.
