Born in 1989 in Simferopol, Crimea (Ukraine).
Studied Ukrainian philology and journalism in Simferopol (Ukraine). Since 2013 author for taz and 2015-2018 correspondent for Deutsche Welle (DW). Since 2020, she has been studying political science at the Institute for Eastern European Studies at the FU Berlin.
As a journalist, she is particularly interested in politics in Eastern Europe as well as German-Ukrainian relations. In 2021, together with Tetiana Kozak she published the book "Unrecognised Stories" - a collection of reportages on de facto states in the post-Soviet space that are not recognised under international law: Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria and Nagorno-Karabakh. For the taz, she has reported almost daily from the Kyiv region, from the Donbas and the surrounding towns since the beginning of the war. In 2022, she co-authored a diary about the Russian war in Ukraine "War and Peace".
