Ulrike Gruska

Ulrike Gruska has been working in the press department of Reporters Without Borders Germany since 2012, where she is responsible – among others – for Eastern European countries. Before taking this position, she was a freelance correspondent for German print media, with her stories focusing on Eastern Europe, especially Russia and the Southern Caucasus (www.ulrikegruska.de). Ulrike holds a degree in Political Science, Eastern Europe Studies and Journalism from the University of Hamburg. She worked as an editor for German newspapers in the Russian Volga region and for n-ost, the Network for Reporting in Eastern Europe.
